Day 5: July 1, 2010

We decided to head to Atlantic City for the afternoon. We went to the aquarium. The brochure made it look better than it was. We still had a great time.

Petting a shark

We also touched sting rays and fed them lunch.

Haylee and Carson thought the turtle was cool.  It is 14 years old and will gain at least 200 more pounds.

We also had hotdogs from one of the many stands we saw.  They tasted pretty good.

We also saw some fishing boats that were loading empty crates to take out and fill with fish.

The main reason we went to Atlantic City was see the Boardwalk. According to the internet, this place is huge. So we thought we’d be able to see it from almost any place. Well….. after driving around for about an hour, we still did not see it. We finally stopped and asked where we could find the Boardwalk. It is behind the HUGE casinos. It is miles, and , miles, and miles of boards. Once we finally got there, it was cool. I am sure there are nicer ones now in other places but at least we have been to Atlantic City.

We had some "famous" salt water taffy.  It was good..

Then we walked on the beach and collected sea shells.

Then we rode in this car down the Boardwalk, actually we were pushed for about 10 blocks. Then we had to walk back to where we started.

Here's what we saw as we rode down the Boardwalk.

We also tried Nathan's hotdogs, which are supposed to be the best.  They were VERY good hotdogs.
