Day 11: July 7, 2010

We left Hershey and head toward Lititz.  We found the first pretzel factory and we were able to make a pretzel.  You don't get to keep it because it takes several hours to cook.  Haylee was just happy to make one.

Tour...

The pretzel press on the side is used to make the hard pretzels.

There was also a little chocolate factory in the town that we also visited.

There is no tour here but you can smell the chocolate and hear the machines above you working.

They are dipping pretzels and making other candy.

They kids enjoyed watching them.

We had some samples and then loaded the car.  Their chocolate tastes very different than Hershey's. 

We drove to Harrisburg to see the capital building.  Then we drove....

and drove...

and drove..

 and then was some traffic to slow us down..

It was dark by the time we made it to the campground for the night. 

At least we weren't the only ones trying to put up a tent in the dark.
