Road Trip 2015
In getting ready for your road trip, I realized that the blog wasn't finished from 2013 and I didn't blog at all last year!!! Sorry to all of our faithful followers. I plan on doing much better this trip..... Road trip 2015 starts.... TOMORROW!!!!
Day 14
We didn't have as many days to get home as we did to get to Disney World, so that meant today was full of driving and more driving. We did stop at the Louisiana visitor's center. This was a very cool looking place. The kids loved it.
Then it was back in the car for more driving until we stopped for a late lunch.
We had lunch at Louie's Cafe near LSU. Now this was a "hole in the wall" place.
The food was very good. When we arrived, it was pouring rain so this
is a picture of the menu.
Yummy burger and fries
Excited to be sitting at the counter.
David's catfish po-boy.
After a great lunch, we were on the road again and didn't stop until we were home.
Another great vacation is now just memories.
Ready to start planning next summers adventure.
Day 13
We got up early and drove and drove and drove. We made it in time for a late lunch at Lambert's.
Carson is ready to catch a "throwed roll."
YEAH!!! He caught it!!
These are the best rolls ever!!!
Even though Haylee wasn't feeling good she tried to eat a roll too.
The hour wait was so worth it!!
Then we went to see the Battleship in Mobile, AL.
They had cool planes that Carson loved!
All aboard...
Trying out the beds
Almost left them here for a while...
Haylee
Carson
More planes...
We headed to the submarine because it was getting close to closing time and we didn't want to miss it
Fun on the deck
Then we went inside the submarine.
This is the best smile I could get from Haylee. She really didn't feel good.
The short doors were easy for Carson, but not so much for David.
This way didn't work.
Finally, able to move on.
Captain Carson
Submarine
We still had a little time left so we went back to the ship
My dad loaded these kinds of bombs on planes when he was in the air force.
We convinced Haylee to take one more picture before she and I headed to the car.
He had a great time climbing and exploring the ship.
We were there until the park closed and then we drove to Ocean Springs. Once we checked in the hotel, we drove around to find the beach. We found a neat little park and a perfect beach area. We were only there a short time because it was almost dark.
Our attempt to make a sand castle
This is the final product...
Haylee doing her part to clean the beach.
We had a great time at the beach
For dinner we had Krispy Kreme... it's vacation so anything goes...
Day 12: Last Day
As David and I were getting the rest of the car loaded this is what the kids were doing...
2 peas in a pod...
The had to take one last look from the terrace. The terrace was their favorite part of the room.
We ate dinner several times out on the terrace.
The only park we (Haylee) felt like we hadn't finished was Epcot. So we have part of the day to spend there before we start the trek home.
Trying to stay cool because it is HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!
We repeated a few things. While we waited on our time for Test Track fast passes.
We finally made it to see Aladdin and Jasmine.
Then we went to watch the show in the America area and listened to some beautiful singing while we waited.
It was still several hours before it was time to use our fast passes so we decided to grab lunch and then head out. We were staying in Tallahassee for the night.
Not ready to leave.....but it was time. Another magical Disney trip had come to an end.
