There were many other cars too.  These were just some of our favorites.

Our next stop was Cooter's. Yep, the one from Dukes of Hazzard.
Also appearing was Rick Hurst....AKA- "Cletus"  He signed an autograph and took pictures with us.
He was very nice.
He also pretended to hand cuff David.
Other memories...
I had my picture taken in the General Lee.
We had a great time looking at everything they had in the museum.

We decided to eat before leaving because a down pour came.
Again, we found a great Italian restaurant for lunch.
Haylee's art work
YUMMY!!!

Now we're driving the rest of the day.  We'll have to find a hotel tonight because it is raining and is suppose to rain all night.  I have enjoyed camping but I don't want to try it in the rain.

Day 12: July 8, 2010

Rise and Shine
Breakfast
Big helper...
On the road again...
Heading through the Great Smoky Mountains
There was a smell and they thought it was a skunk...

We found a stream to walk in.
The kids had fun..
The water was very cold..
The only water fall we could find was at the mill.

We thought this was going to be our only wildlife sighting...
BUT....

I know that at the end of the Smoky Mountains we would be in Gatlinburg but I had no idea of how much there was to do in town.  So we decided to find somewhere to stay for the night.  There was one little campground so we stayed there.  After setting up the tent, it was dinner time.  We found a place that looked good but it was in Pigeon Forge.  Luckily it wasn't very far.

It has home-cooking food....

Ready for some grub...  The food was sooooo good....

By the time we were finished it was late so we would have to see some sights in the morning before heading out...
