Spring Break: NYC

Haylee and I were lucky enough to be invited to NYC for spring break to celebrate her BFF's 6th birthday.  It was an all girls celebration.  Haylee was excited to ride in an airplane for the first time.
Getting our bags check and then it's time to go through security.
We got to the airport in plenty of time, so we had to wait awhile for our flight.
The girls being silly.
They did a little coloring to pass the time.
The plane had finally landed and everyone was ready to load.
Here goes Haylee....boarding her first plane..
Haylee and Grace are ready for take-off.
At baggage claim..trying to find everyones' bags..
All bags were accounted for...Now the girls are looking for our ride to the hotel.
SURPRISE..no taxi for us... we were arriving in style to our hotel.
The girls had a great time riding in the limo.
Once we were settleled in our room, the girls decided to look at the city from our 31st floor window.  Then it was time to hit the street... our first stop....DINNER!!
We had dinner at Junior's.
It is known for it's Cheesecake but we did not have any the first night...but we would be back.
Here's some of the food we ordered...Chicken Strips
Matzoh Ball Soup and Potato Pancake with applesauce...  After dinner, we headed huge Toys R Us to do a little shopping and to ride the Ferris Wheel.
Haylee and Grace enjoying their ride.
Mandy, Sarah, and Erin were excited to ride with My Little Ponies.
What a way to end our first day in NYC.

Girl Scout Cookies

Haylee joined girl scouts in the fall.  She sold 170 boxes of girl scout cookies.
We then had to sort them and get them delivered.
Carson couldn't resist helping himself...
Haylee tried a Tagalong for the first time.
Carson sneaks a cookie too..
Along with taking orders for cookies comes Booth Sales.
The first one for the troop was at Wal Mart and it was pretty cold.

Happy Birthday Logan!!

Logan had his birthday party at Pump-It-Up.  The kids love it there and have so much fun.
Unfortunately, Haylee and Carson spent the first part sitting in "time-out."
Jeff and Logan
Haylee finally gets to play...
...and so does Carson.

Carson loves playing with bouncy balls.
All the kids...
Blowing out the candles...

Jeff said that Logan has been begging for this ship...he had no idea he was getting it for his birthday.

Valentine's Day

We decided to make homemade pizza for dinner on Valentine's Day.  I thought heart shaped pizza would be fun, well it did not work out so easy.  I let the kids cut out hearts, and them I just rolled out the rest of the dough.
They also helped to mix up strawberry cupcakes.
I even let Carson try the batter for the first time.
Time to decorate the cupcakes.

Michael's

Michael's also offers crafts for kids several times a month.  The kids made Valentine's cards.
Carson liked to punch shapes out but did not want to use them.
The serious artist...trying to fold the card perfectly...
The finished products...

Lowe's

Twice a month, Lowe's offers a free project.  This week the project is a music box.  Last time only Haylee went because the registration form says they need to be at least 4.  This time, we decided with some help, Carson could do the project too.
Haylee did a great job finding the pieces that went together and using the hammer.
Even Carson tried to hammer the pieces together.
Carson makes sure the music box is working.
The finished project....
Certificates of Completion and patches
They had a great time.  I highly reccommend  giving this a try...
