Day 11: Chef Mickey's and much more

We started off the day at Chef Mickey's for breakfast.  The food is always delicious....especially the Mickey shaped waffles.
They always sing a silly song,  dance around, and swing around napkins.  The kids love it so I guess that's all that matters.
While we eat, the characters make their way around the restaurant to every one's table.
Minnie was first.
Then Mickey...
GOOFY!!!
Pluto was next..
Finally....
Donald Duck....
On vacation, you can eat whatever you want for breakfast...right??
so rice krispie treats and brownies it is.
Once we have eaten everything possible, we head back to Magic Kingdom.
Once we entered the gates, we ran into Mary Poppins.  She was fun to talk with. Well, for me at least.  She asked the kids how tidy their rooms were.  The looked at me and then she said, I guess not that tidy from the look you gave mom.  It was quite funny for me.  She said she might need to stop by and check out their rooms.  They weren't to sure about that.
We were in the perfect place for the mini parade they have a few times per day.
It started as soon as we turned to corner.
Once the parade was over, we headed toward Fantasyland.  David was off to get fast passes for Splash Mountain.  On our way through, there were so short lines for some rides that we had already ridden so we rode them again.  Then we headed to Dumbo.
There are actually two Dumbo rides that are exactly the same.  Usually the line is very long but not today.  So we actually rode it twice.
In this new area, there is also a circus tent that has a small indoor play area for the kids.  When you go inside, you get a pager and when it's time for you to ride, it buzzes.
While in the area, we also rode The Barnstormer.  It is a kiddie coaster.  The kids loved it.
It was time for us to ride Splash Mountain and we were ready.  It was HOT!!
On our way, we ran into these 2 cowboys.
We finally made it to the ride.  It was so "cool"
Thankfully, we made it through the briar patch.  I love this ride!!
On our way out, we saw these 2.  We had already seen Woody but not Jesse so we stopped.  The line wasn't very long but they took several breaks so this was the longest character line we waited in.  When we were almost to the front, the cast members brought a family up to the side to let them cut.  I heard some "rumbling" around me from others in line.  Then I heard them whisper to the photographer that this family was there with the make a wish foundation.  After hearing that, I didn't care how much longer we had to wait in line.  The kids "looked" perfect, you couldn't tell which one of them was sick.  It made me realize how lucky I was to have two healthy kids.  So sad for their circumstance but glad was able to witness the smiles with Jesse and Woody.
We had done all we needed to here for the day.  So we were off to the Campground for the
Chip and Dale Campfire Sing-a-long.
Since weren't able to camp and cookout on the way down, we decided to roast hot dogs and make
s'mores for dinner.
Chip finally made his way around.  Dale was there too but they split the area in half.
Then the music and "dancing"  started.
Carson will dance around as long as he doesn't think anyone is watching him...but he he sees you, this is what you get.
hands in the pocket and he's done...
Haylee has to examine her marshmallows very carefully...to make sure the are not too black.
She's come along way in roasting marshmallows.  The first time she used a flashlight in the dark to make sure there was no black on them at all.
Then it was time to enjoy the great s'mores.
Getting the perfect s'more is a fine art.

We watched a little of the movie and then headed back to the resort to start packing since we were leaving tomorrow.
